Last night the premiere for Marc Forster’s World War Z was held London’s Leicester Square. Brad Pitt was in attendance, joined by his wife Angelina Jolie, as well as Mireille Enos who plays Pitt’s onscreen wife, Karen, in the adaption of Max Brook’s best-selling book.
Set in the near future, the world is overrun by a deadly virus that turns the globe’s population into ravenous flesh-eating zombies. As the pandemic spreads, it is left to UN Agent Gerry Lane to discover a potential cure to the virus.
The novel was adapted by Matthew Michael Carnahan, Drew Goddard, Damon Lindelof who depart from the UN report like structure of the novel favouring a more action-packed, drama driven narrative.
With legions of fans for Brook’s novel, World War Z has been one of the most hotly anticipated releases of the year.
